Justine Fox

Justine graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Management and a Minor in Restoration Science and Management.

During her undergraduate education, in addition to working summers as an environmental educator for Mass Audubon and the Appalachian Mountain Club, she worked as an intern in URI’s wetland ecology and herpetology lab. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she pursued a career in wildlife conservation and spent the next five years working seasonal positions with private and federal research institutions studying a variety of listed species across the contiguous United States. In 2022 she moved back to New England, taking a job with a municipal Conservation Department where she became familiar with the Massachusetts wetland permitting system through enforcing the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and local Bylaws. She then transitioned into her current role as a Wetland Scientist for Williams & Sparages LLC. Justine is experienced in wetland delineation, habitat restoration, invasive species management, vernal pool evaluation, rare species monitoring, scientific outreach, tree identification, and environmental permitting.

Justine maintains an affinity for herpetology in addition to her passion for protecting and restoring our natural world.
